I break software
so users don't.

Senior QA Engineer with five years turning fragile releases into predictable, automated pipelines. I design end-to-end test strategy, build automation that actually scales, and ship quality engineering that developers trust.

Quality is not a phase. It's a system.

I help engineering teams ship faster by removing the fear from "release day."

I'm Shakhzodbek Urmonov — most people call me Shakh. For the past five years I've built test strategies, automation frameworks, and quality processes for Games, no-code platforms, and government projects shipping at high velocity.

I treat QA as engineering, not gatekeeping. That means versioned test code, deterministic pipelines, real observability, and a shift-left culture where bugs die in pull requests — not in production.

My happy place is a flaky-but-critical user journey, a stack of Playwright traces, and a regression suite that used to take six hours. I leave it running in under thirty minutes.

The toolkit I bring on day one.

I instrument before I optimise. Every load test I ship comes with a Grafana dashboard the team can read at a glance.

A timeline of fewer bugs, faster releases.

Four years across gaming, localization, and software testing.

Senior QA Engineer

@ BolderApps · Tech company
Apr 2026 — present · Remote
  • Rebuilt the regression suite on Playwright + TypeScript, cutting full-cycle test time from 5h 40m to 38 minutes across 7 microservices.
  • Owned release gating for a 90-engineer org, lifting on-time release rate from 71% to 96% over four quarters.
  • Introduced contract testing with Pact + Schemathesis, eliminating ~80% of integration-tier escapes reported by SRE.

QA Automation Engineer

@ ucode.io · start-up
Oct 2024 — Jun 2025 · On-Site
  • Designed a Cypress + Cucumber framework adopted by 6 product squads; reduced regression time by 62% and flaky-test rate to under 1.5%.
  • Led performance testing for Black Friday traffic of 1.2M concurrent users, identifying three checkout bottlenecks before launch — zero P1 incidents during sale week.
  • Mentored 4 manual QAs into automation; two were promoted to SDET roles within 18 months.

Junior QA Engineer

@ Lionbridge · localization
Aug 2022 — Sep 2024 · On-site
  • Manual + exploratory testing across 12 client projects; introduced the first Selenium WebDriver suite for the team's largest account.
  • Wrote the agency's QA onboarding handbook — still in use today.

Intern QA Engineer

@ Testronix · testing-company
May 2022 — Jul 2022 · On-site
  • Built the company's first JIRA + Xray traceability workflow; raised test-to-requirement coverage from 48% to 94%.
  • Authored 1,800+ test cases for a billing platform processing $40M/year in invoices; reduced customer-reported defects by 47%.
  • Standardised API testing in Postman + Newman, integrated into Jenkins for nightly contract verification.

Three problems, three measurable wins.

Selected work — happy to walk through any of them in detail.

CASE 01 / GAME TESTING

From 6-hour release validation to 22-minute build verification.

A multiplayer game had unstable releases — matchmaking bugs and crash spikes were only discovered after production rollout. QA relied heavily on manual regression, slowing every release cycle.

CASE 02 / NO-CODE PLATFORM

From “drag-and-break” workflows to stable enterprise-grade automation.

A no-code SaaS platform allowed users to build workflows visually, but lacked testing coverage for dynamic user-generated flows. Every update risked breaking customer automations.

CASE 03 / INVESTMENT MONITORING

Real-time transparency system for SME funding programs.

A government platform tracking small business grants and investments suffered from delayed reporting, inconsistent data sync, and audit issues across multiple regional systems.

Shakhzod is the kind of QA every engineer wants on the team. His bug reports read like pull requests — repro steps, payloads, suspected root cause, sometimes a one-line fix. He's saved me hours of debugging more times than I can count, and his automation suite is the reason I sleep well after deploys.

Working with Shakh changed how our squad thinks about quality. He sits in refinement, challenges acceptance criteria, and ships traceability that lets me answer "is this tested?" in seconds, not days. Our release confidence jumped overnight — and so did stakeholder trust.
